SPECIALIST COURSES
Specialist Training Sessions
We understand that investing in the mental health of your employees runs way beyond a 2 day MHFAid course. We deliver a range of specialist training sessions ranging from 1 hour to half a day.
Financial Well-being
Anxiety, worry and stress are all triggered by concerns over personal finances. It is estimated that 20% of people currently working say their work is being affected by their financial worries. People's household budgets are being increasingly stretched and a recent survey have suggested that 50% of people working have less than £50 per month left over to spend on 'the extras' after all 'the essentials' are taken care of. Many employed staff are completely unaware of benefits they might be entitled to while working, millions of pounds goes unclaimed every year.
-
This training is designed to help develop a resilient money mindset, and can tackle everything from good budgeting, what to consider when looking at finances, through to feeling tooled up to signpost people for appropriate support.
It is also designed to support discussion and what signs to look for that someone in the team might be struggling financially. For instance if someone phones in sick at the end of the month and there is a pattern it might simply be that they can't afford the travel in to work. It encourages a review of policies to check that they support the workforce.
-
This training session is for half a day and for anyone who line manages and supervises staff, it can be delivered on line or in a work setting as a workshop
Implementing Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace
Many workplaces have MHFAiders but are they really effective or if you are honest has the training simply ticked a box?
-
This course will help you maximise the impact of your MHFAiders focusing on how to promote and support your MHFAiders, creating the right culture, supporting your MHFAiders and the importance of data and measuring outcomes. Impactful case studies and real life examples help bring the importance of this to front of mind.
-
The training session is half a day and for any businesses, charities and organisations who have MHFAiders and want some extra support in getting the very best out of them. It can be delivered face to face or online
Drink and Drug Driving Awareness
Have you ever considered the impact on your business if one of your employees receives a drink drive conviction? They get a criminal record, your reputation takes a hit and now you are spending money recruiting and training. Now, consider if this situation arose from a simple mistake: not understanding the law or how long it takes alcohol to process through the body?
This one‑hour workshop gives participants a clear, practical understanding of the UK drink and drug driving laws, including next‑morning risk and the common misconceptions in the law that lead to accidental offences.
-
This one‑hour workshop equips participants with clear, practical knowledge about UK drink and drug driving laws, how alcohol is processed in the body and the real‑world risks of next‑day driving. By exploring the legal, personal and professional consequences of a conviction, the session empowers attendees to make safer, more informed choices every time they get behind the wheel.
Through accessible explanations and real‑world examples, attendees learn how alcohol is processed in the body, why “sleeping it off” doesn’t guarantee safety and how to calculate on average how long alcohol remains in the system.
The session also explores the wider consequences of a drink‑drive conviction, from licence loss and employment disruption to the emotional and psychological impact that often follows. Participants leave with accurate information, increased confidence in making safer choices and a deeper awareness of how prevention protects both personal wellbeing and professional life.
-
This 1 hour workshop is designed for anyone who drives, employees, managers and professionals who want to make informed, safe decisions and avoid the legal, personal and workplace consequences of drink or drug driving.
What Men need to understand about Menopause
Men can feel embarrassed, uninformed, unaware or that its not something for them to worry about when it comes to female menopause. Menopause will be affecting a woman you know now either a family member, friend or a colleague at work. It's really only the last decade that has seen women talking about the subject more openly so its no wonder men can feel on the back foot!
Menopause and mental health have very clear links and men can play a vital role in supporting women from recognising, through to managing, symptoms. Menopause has been identified as the number 1 reason why women are leaving the workforce over 50, with better support and understanding this can be changed.
-
This session is for all men looking to gather a greater understanding of the subject, to feel safe to ask questions and to feel equipped to support women appropriately.
-
The session will last 1 hour and can be hosted on line or in person as a workshop session in the work setting. Men of all ages are encouraged to attend
