Andrew Ball

Andrew brings over 20 years of hands‑on leadership experience across the voluntary sector, managing complex projects, campaigns and teams. His career has taken him from working with homeless young people, people affected by addiction, offenders and those living with dementia, to a period in teaching, all of which shaped his deep understanding of how people function under pressure and what teams need to perform well.

He has always championed the idea that people are the foundation of organisational success. When teams feel supported, they work better and Andrew has built a career around helping leaders create those conditions.

A standout moment in his career was presenting to the Queen and receiving the Alzheimer’s Society ‘Bringing People Together’ award at St James’ Palace, recognition of his ability to unite people around meaningful change.

Andrew brings a practical, person‑led approach to transforming teams and cultures. He’s a lifelong learner, constantly exploring new ways to build resilience and support mental health, whether through his work, parenting or his passion for running. As a former Welfare Officer and Mental Health Champion in his running club, he understands first‑hand how movement, community and support shape people’s wellbeing.

He combines real‑world frontline experience with strategic insight, giving leaders a grounded, credible partner in improving how their organisations support their people.

Anita Ball

Anita is an experienced senior leader with over 15 years at Director level, heading a workforce of 130 staff and more than 700 volunteers in a high‑pressure, target‑driven hospice environment. She has built her career on leading large, complex teams with clarity, compassion and a relentless focus on people.

Workforce resilience and creating the conditions for people to thrive have been central to her leadership. She understands first‑hand how culture, expectations and support shape performance and she has spent years putting that into practice at scale.

Alongside her Director role, Anita served as Chair of the North East Board of the Institute of Fundraising, bringing regional leaders together and influencing standards across the sector. A committed learner, she has invested heavily in understanding mindset, leadership and what it takes to build teams that perform well under pressure.

Her experience spans employer branding, organisational culture, managing dispersed teams and developing environments where people can do their best work. She also brings deep insight into supporting people through loss and bereavement, experience that strengthens her ability to lead with empathy while maintaining high performance.

Anita combines strategic leadership with a grounded understanding of what people need to thrive, making her a powerful asset to any organisation looking to strengthen its culture and support its workforce.
