Tony Robbins: Unleash the Power Within Cologne 2026 Day 3
What Are Your Limiting Beliefs Costing You?
Day 3 of Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within was Transformation Day and at almost 14 hours, it was the longest day yet! Much to our delight, it was another full day with Tony Robbins and, as we'd come to expect, there was plenty of energy, dancing and shouting YES!
We covered an incredible amount, from the three pillars of progress to understanding our strategies, triggers and what motivates us. But the part that really stood out for me was values and beliefs, understanding how much the choices we make are influenced by what we value and what we believe about ourselves.
What are our beliefs costing us?
This led us into the Dickens Process, which explores the long-term pain and consequences of holding onto a limiting belief and what could happen if we finally let it go.
One of the beliefs I recognised in myself was that I shouldn't shout about my successes. I should stay quiet, not make a big deal of them and celebrate them privately.
But I started asking myself: What is that belief costing me?
I realised that by not properly acknowledging my successes, I wasn't valuing them either. Instead of enjoying a win, part of me was already waiting for something to bring me back down to earth.
But what if I changed that belief?
What if I allowed myself to enjoy those moments, celebrate the wins and use them to build my confidence and self-belief?
Then it hit me again on the plane home...
Flying home from Cologne, I started thinking more deeply about my limiting beliefs.
My upcoming half marathon in Copenhagen immediately came to mind.
As race day gets closer, that little voice starts: “Am I actually quick enough to get the time I really want?”
And I've realised something.
If I stand on that start line already doubting myself, I've created a barrier before I've even run the first mile.
So I'm changing the belief.
Instead of focusing on whether I'm good enough, I'm going to remind myself of the training I've completed, the times I've comfortably run the pace I need and how much I've improved since my last half marathon.
I've done the work. Now I need to believe I can deliver it.
What could limiting beliefs be costing our workplaces?
This got me thinking about the organisations I work with through Thrive Together.
How many limiting beliefs do we carry around in the workplace without ever challenging them?
“People won't talk about mental health.”
“Managers don't have time for wellbeing.”
“Nobody uses the support we provide.”
“That's just the culture here.”
“We've tried that before and it didn't work.”
If we hear these things often enough, they can become beliefs. And those beliefs start influencing our decisions, our behaviours and ultimately our workplace culture.
So perhaps we need to ask ourselves:
What beliefs are holding us back?
What are those beliefs costing our people and our organisation?
And most importantly...
What could become possible if we stopped believing them?
